Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information daysbetweendays.com collects, how it's used and the choices you have. In short: the dates you type into our calculators stay in your browser, and we use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which use cookies.

Effective date: October 17, 2026

Who we are

Days Between Days ("we", "us" or "our") runs daysbetweendays.com, a website based in the United States. You can contact us about privacy at contact@daysbetweendays.com.

Information we collect

We collect very little, and most of it is collected by Google on our behalf:

  • Dates you enter. The calculators run in your browser. The dates and options you enter aren't sent to us or stored. If you use Share link, the dates become part of the web address you share.
  • Usage information. Through Google Analytics, we receive information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location, such as your city, worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics doesn't log or store IP addresses.
  • Advertising information. Through Google AdSense, cookies and similar identifiers are used to show and measure ads and, where allowed, to personalize them.
  • Messages you send. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

We don't ask for your name, account details or payment information, and we don't knowingly collect sensitive personal information.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. We and our partners use them for three purposes:

  • Analytics. Google Analytics cookies tell visits apart so we can see which pages are useful.
  • Advertising. Google's advertising cookies are used to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, prevent fraud and, where you allow it, personalize ads.
  • Your choices. A cookie remembers your answer to our consent message, where one is shown.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The calculators work without them.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and we keep that data for up to 14 months. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on every website with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps the calculators free.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.

If you opt out, you'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your interests. Google may still use cookies to limit how often an ad appears and to prevent fraud. You can read more about how Google uses cookies in advertising.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Run the site and keep it secure.
  • Understand which pages and features are useful, so we can improve them.
  • Show the ads that pay for the site.
  • Answer your messages.
  • Prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our legal obligations.

How information is shared

We share information only in these ways:

  • With Google, which provides our analytics and advertising services and handles information under its own privacy policy.
  • When the law requires it, such as in response to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights and safety of our visitors or the site.
  • In a business transfer, if the site is sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply to information collected under it.

We don't sell personal information for money. Some US state laws treat the use of advertising cookies for personalized ads as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as "targeted advertising". The next section explains how to opt out.

Your US state privacy rights

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with consumer privacy laws may have these rights, depending on where they live:

  • Know and access: ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Correct: ask us to fix information that's wrong.
  • Delete: ask us to delete information about you.
  • Opt out: opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising.
  • Appeal: appeal if we decline your request, in states that provide this right.
  • Equal treatment: we won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.

To opt out of personalized ads, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, use the privacy choices link in our consent message where one is shown, or visit Google Ads Settings. For any other request, email contact@daysbetweendays.com. Because we don't keep accounts, we may ask for details such as the date and time of your visit to find information about you. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof that the agent acts for you. We respond within 45 days.

This information comes from you and from your device when you use the site, and we use it for the purposes described in this policy.

Visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent through a consent message certified by Google before analytics or advertising cookies are used. We rely on your consent for analytics and personalized ads, and on our legitimate interests to keep the site secure and to answer messages.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal information, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Information is processed in the United States, and Google relies on approved safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses for these transfers.

Children's privacy

The site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

Keeping and protecting information

Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months, then deleted. Emails are kept only as long as we need them to answer you, and no longer than two years. Advertising data is kept by Google under its own policies.

The site uses HTTPS encryption, and access to the information we hold is limited to the people who run it.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information: when we detect it, we ask Google to show you non-personalized ads. Do Not Track has no agreed standard, so we don't respond to it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
